Sintel is a short Sci-Fi / fantasy film about a little girl and a baby dragon who have to face a much larger dragon to save her unusual friend. Streaming Killed the Video Mart
Sep 26th
Blockbuster, the giant of the the movie rental business, is going into bankruptcy. It might not be shutting its doors just yet; but many people are saying that the writing is on the wall, and the wall says streaming online videos will kill even the largest video store.
It seems that whenever a new medium appears, people readily predict the death of the old, more established medium. When TV became popular, for instance, the pundits said that movies were dead. Netflix Set to Offer Streaming Videos for Canada

It’s bad enough that we are shut out of the hulu market and aren’t able to stream TV shows on the major US network sites (getting those blasted proxy servers to work is a real pain!), but we also have not had any decent options for a streaming movie service (other than our local cable providers, whose prices are outrageous). With video streaming being the next big paradigm shift in the entertainment sector, the introduction of Netflix into the Canadian market is welcome news indeed.

Why pay for something that is already free? Hulu, one of the top video streaming websites (second only to YouTube), is planning to add a new $10 per month premium service called Hulu Plus. Does that mean that you will have to start paying to stream TV shows? No. You see, if you use Hulu for free you can only view the last five episodes of a show; if you pay $10 (ok $9.95) and become a premium user, you will be able to plumb the depths of the archives and watch any episode you can find.
